Polish avant-garde composer and musicologist Boguslaw Schaeffer has passed away - aged 90

Polish avant-garde composer and musicologist Boguslaw Schaeffer has passed away - aged 90.

He served long term Professorships at the Kraków Academy and the Salzburg Hochschule für Music.

Professor Schaeffer's works included 3 violin concertos, a viola concerto - and a concerto for violin and female chorus.

Our condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues and students.
