APPLY | San Diego Symphony — Director of Marketing

This high-level role has oversight for all of the orchestra's marketing activities, as well as management responsibilities

The San Diego Symphony is currently recruiting for a new Director of Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing successful renewal, acquisition, and sales campaigns that meet and exceed the San Diego Symphony’s revenue goals.

Working as a team leader, you will develop a comprehensive plan to set and drive attendance and revenue goals for all performances and events. You will manage and work alongside team members who specialize in media relations, design, corporate sponsorships, ticketing operations, group sales, telemarketing efforts, and customer service.

As well as having extensive knowledge of classical music, the ideal candidate will have four years of experience in a marketing leadership role at a classical music organization, as well as five to ten years of broader marketing experience in the music industry.

This job is full-time and includes benefits. It is based primarily at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park and at Jacobs Music Center. There is also an opportunity for this position to be hybrid (partially remote) if the applicant desires.
