Candidates Announced for Romania's 2020/2021 Enescu Violin Competition

The opening two rounds will be held online from the 5th to the 13th of September, 2020, with the final rounds to take place live in Bucharest in May 2021

Today, the 2020 George Enescu International Violin Competition to be held in Bucharest, Romania, from the the 5th to the 13th of September, 2020, announced the opening round candidates.

Open to international violinists 32 years of age or younger, the 1st prize winner will be awarded €15,000 ($17,900).

The 2020 violin jury will comprise: Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Remus Azoiţei, Koichiro Harada, Silvia Marcovici, Mihaela Martin, Igor Petrushevski, Eduard Schmieder and Krzysztof Wegrzyn.
