Composer Andrew Norman To Join Juilliard School Composition Faculty
The Juilliard School has announced that American composer Andrew Norman will join the school's teaching faculty
The Juilliard School, in New York City, has this week announced that celebrated American composer Andrew Norman will join the school's teaching faculty - effective from September 2020.
The 40-year-old will join the composition department alongside faculty members Melinda Wagner, John Corigliano, Robert Beaser and Matthias Pintscher.
“We are so delighted to have Andrew join the Juilliard faculty ... Andrew is such a fresh and vibrant voice in today’s musical life ..." Juilliard School Provost and Dean Ara Guzelimian has this week said.
“I am honored and thrilled to join the composition faculty of Juilliard ... I am excited to explore musical creativity in all its forms with the members of this amazing community, and I look forward to asking the big questions of classical music — what is it, why is it, and where is it going — at this storied institution,” Andrew has this week said.
