Esther Seitz Appointed to Cello Section of the Dallas Opera Orchestra

Seitz is co-founder of the Bowery Trio and has previously held a fellowship with the Minnesota Orchestra

Cellist Esther Seitz joins the cello section of the Dallas Opera Orchestra after serving as the Rosemary and David Good Fellow with the Minnesota Orchestra.

Seitz has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Manhattan School of Music, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts with the Kansas City Symphony, and the Meadowmount School of Music.

She holds a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music and an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, and her major teachers have included Julia Lichten, Michael Mermagen, Mark Gibbs, and Carter Enyeart.

Seitz is co-founder of the Bowery Trio, which was formed in 2019. The group made its international debut in 2022 at the Uuden Musiikin Lokakuu festival in Oulu. The ensemble has a particular focus on the music of composers from underserved communities, and has received funding from Chamber Music America, the New York Community Trust, and Finlandia Foundation National.
