The 12 second round candidates have been announced at the 2019 Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition – in Toruń, Poland.

The 2019 second round candidates are:

  • Olga Artyugina (Russia)
  • Feliks Harutyunyan (Armenia)
  • Lorenz Karls (Sweden)
  • Mao Konishi (Japan)
  • Maya Levy (Belgium)
  • Robert Łaguniak (Poland)
  • Elias David Moncado (Germany)
  • Noori Nah (South Korea)
  • Mio Sasaki (Japan)
  • Reika Sato (Japan)
  • Eimi Wakui (Japan)
  • Yumiko Yumiba (Japan)

Open to violinists of any nationality 33 years or under, the 2019 1st prize winner will receive €20,000.

The 2019 jury comprises: Ilya Kaler (Chairman), Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Bor­is Kuschnir, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Jakub Jakowicz and Mariusz Smolij.
