A student of Donald Weilerstein, David Cerone, Jaime Laredo, and Victor Danchenko, Kim currently holds a teaching position at the New England Conservatory

Today is Korean-American violin virtuoso Soovin Kim’s 45th Birthday!

A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music, Soovin is a former 1st prize winner at the Paganini International Violin Competition - and former recipient of a prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award and Avery Fisher Career Grant.

His famed students including VC Young Artist Ji Won Song.
