We're coming to you LIVE from The Greene Space in New York City for the 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grants announcement ceremony hosted by WQXR's Elliott Forrest. Performances by this year's recipients will follow the announcement.

Administered by Lincoln Center, the USD $25,000 bursaries are awarded annually to talented, young solo artists and chamber ensembles who exhibit outstanding potential for major international careers.  The Avery Fisher Artist Program is committed to all forms of diversity, with recipients chosen based on outstanding artistic merit.

Since the first Career Grants were awarded in 1976, there have been 171 Career Grant recipients. Past awardees include pianist Yuja Wang, violinist Gil Shaham, and clarinetist Anthony McGill.
