In this performance, Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev directs from the harpsichord.

After Hasse’s Adagio & Fugue in G minor, Emelyanychev performs as a soloist in Haydn’s Harpsichord Concerto in D major, which became one of the composer’s most popular concerti.

Principal Cellist Philip Higham performs as the soloist in Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, a piece influenced by Hebrew melodies.
