Violinist & Composer Curtis Stewart Signs with Monica Felkel Creative Partners
The four-time GRAMMY Award nominee will receive worldwide general management
Violinist and composer Curtis Stewart will join several artists on agent Monica Felkel's roster — including composer and violist Kenji Bunch, cellist Jonathan Swensen, and conductor Fawzi Haimor.
A member of the award-winning ensembles PUBLIQuartet and The Mighty Third Rail, Stewart has also been Artistic Director of the American Composers Orchestra since 2022. In addition, he is a celebrated pedagogue and teaches Chamber Music, Improvised Chamber Music, and "Cultural Equity and Performance Practice" at The Juilliard School.
As a soloist, he has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Cal Performances, Washington Performing Arts, Virginia Arts Festival, and The Juilliard School, as well as at the 2022 GRAMMY Awards.
As a composer, Stewart has written new solo, chamber, and orchestral works for the Seattle Symphony, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Hall’s Play/USA, countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, and members of the New York Philharmonic, among others.
"As a longtime fan, I am thrilled to begin this new partnership with Curtis," Felkel said. "Beyond highlighting his evident virtuosic technical abilities, remarkable musicality, and impressive cross-genre versatility, Curtis’s singular insight, passion, and artistry allow him to reach multiple audiences in unique and profound ways. The global impact of his contributions to music is poised to be nothing short of phenomenal."
"I am so excited to be working with Monica!" Stewart said. "I have seen her do great things with so many of my near and dear friends and music shakers, I can’t believe it’s finally my turn! We are going to rock and roll!"
